Two hundred unemployed men carrying a. banner announcing ‘ "\\ e are hungry!” marched to tne Premier’s office.

A private secretary heard the request oi the men for work. As they were leaving they noticed the car of the State Governor. Lord Somers and sent a representative to interview him.

The Governor \va ssympai.liet-ie and gave the men a cheque to pay mr a meal for the 200, who then marched away to a; city cafe- where they had a. meal.
