HOROWHENUA SHOW
SUCCESSFUL FIRST DAY
A warm sun yesterday favoured the first day of the Horowhenua Agri cultural;, and Pastoral -Association’s 22nd annual show on the Levin racecourse.
The outstanding features of the show are the excellent exhibits in the Jersey cattle and pig 'sections, and though the entries are ((lightly fewer than at last year’s show, it must be borne'in mind that, the past season was not a. very good one. This year, too, the prolonged period of dry weather has adversely affected the fat lamb' desses.
