McXnmee took five wickets for 53, and Malloy two for 70. South Australia scored a narrow victory by one wicket. With the score at 18”> for nine, South Australia still required four runs to win. When the final hall was howled the batsman and wicketkeeper missed it and four byes were registered, winning the match for South Australia. VICTORIANS ALSO. Melbourne, Dec, 21. In the'\ Sheffield Shield match Queensland, in. the second innings, made 407 runs. Morton took throe wickets for 103 and Ironmonger five for 88. Victoria won by an innings and 107 runs. The weather was fine and the Wicket good, hut the howlers early dominated the game and after a hard but unsuccessful fight the visitors were dismissed leaving the home team easy winners.
