STRANGE EXPLOSION.

NAVAL CORDITE FACTORY.

A mysterious explosion at a naval cordite factory at Holton Heath killed three employees. A steel pipe conveying acetone vapour exploded, scattering steel frag ments and mutilating the ' victims who were standing near.

'The fire spread through the. building, which contained tons of cordite. This flared iip and shattered the building. Twenty other workmen dashed out and escaped Tlie firct destroyed the building in a few minutes. Every window in other portions of the extensive factory was shattered.
