The death took place early this morning, after a long illness, of. Mrs Carey, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Greymoiitb. Tin) Bov. Father Harnett, who had been an inmate of a private hospital in Palmerston for two weeks has returned to his honk* at Feilding. A Pi •ess Association message from London states that King George ' conferred the Air Force Cross on the Marquise di Pinedo, the Italian aviator, for his flight across the Atlantic. Mr B. N. Satidilands last night received the congratulations of the committee of the Feilding A. and P. Association on his election as 'President of the Conference of the . North Island A. and P. Associations. Mr Sandilands said lie felt proud when he was given this office. The conference was now in good working order and carrying out useful work.
