IVOR KER TOUCH ES LIY E AY \R E. AND FALLS INTO DAM. A AfANGAHAO TRAGEDY. (Per Press Association) Palmerston, June 18. A man named Mark Gardner, single, about 21, employed as a litter at Mangaliao, met with a tragic end last nihgt. Tie was engaged working in the neighbourhood of No. 4 dam when he cairn* into contact with a live wire and fell backwards into the dam below. Assistance was quickly lorl booming and the body recovered. Restorative methods were employed .for five hours without, avail, Gardner passing away at 2 o'clock this morning. Deceased came from England in September last and had been engaged, at the works for the past six months. He has a brother at Alangnhao, but the other members ol the family are resident in the Old Comtlrv.
