PBING’B AMONG VETERANS. (Ausfc, and N.Z. Gable). London, February 15. The Prince of Wales inspected 260 of the ‘Old Contemptibles” at Hackney; including. Private Goclley, winner of the first Victoria Gross in the war whom the Prince happened to detect and whom ho congratulated. Going to the British Legion Club, the Prince of Wales signed tlie hook as a full member of the “Old / Contemptibles” Association. As he pinned on the badge, a bystander growled: “ ’Ow does je get that?” Like lightning came the ieply from another East ender: “M hy, ’e came out in October, didn t e Tie's as much a ‘Ccmlomptib o as you.”' . ;
