A special meeting of the Auckland Unemployed Committee will be held to-morrow to consider the preparation of a statement on unemployment, for presentation to flic Prime Minister (the B}gh Hon. ,J. G. Coates) during his .stay in Auckland at the week end. The members who discussed tlie matter - yesterday agreed that' the position was anything but promising, and that some, concerted action in the matter of providing work for the coming winter would have to be taken. The Rev. Jasper Caldor said that the committee of the C|ty Mission, regarded the position as so -serious that he had been requested to drop all outside interests and confine himself to the work of the mission.
