“RED HOT TIRES AT THE LYCEUM TO-NIGHT.
A great comedy will he presented at the Lyceum \Theatre to-night with aii erstwhile speed-demon for a hero and a prettily present speed-demon for a heroine. “Red Hot Tires,” a Warner Bros, classic of the screen, Monte Blue [s the hero, who has been seen in so many automobile accidents that he becomes inflicted with
a fear complex, and prefers jogging along on his horse at a slow pace. Monte enjoys outdoor pictures more than the drawingroom productions in which lie has-been starred recently, and is at his best in his characterisations of A 1 Jones, a . young and charming idler. Patsy Ruth M filer is the pretty heroine wpo just, knows traffic rules were made ti he broken, and depends, upon '■ her father, an honorary police chief, to keep her out of mil. But Fred Esmelton, who; plays the father, decides she deserves punishment, and lets her go to jail just hhe any other person. And here she and Dfonie have a delightful flirtation behind the bars. ' i
