REPUDIATES HER YOUNG GIRL CONVICTED (Per Press Association) .Christchurch, Jan. ,6An 18-yt*'ar-old girl whose name was suppressed was convicted in tlje Court this morning of obtaining credit by fraud. The police stated that the girl, who came from Dunedin, represented herself as Dr. .Cruiok shanks, obtaining goods to the value of £lO from one shop and £3O from another. Her people were respectable, but she bad left home and her father now refused to have anything more to do with her. The goods bad been recovered,, but were useless! for sale purposes. Accused was admitted to probation for 12 months and ordered to remain in SL Anne’s Home,
