East Africa, replying to the Berlin interview with Mr Amery, .says: “Mr Amery wants Cobden’s doctrines applied (o Germany, rot Britain. Thirty years of progress in’ the German Colonies compared favourably with a similar period in Britain’s Colonies in Africa and the Soutp Seas. Tf the Colonies had not'been taken away .Germchy would have obtained important, supplies of fats, oils, phosphates., ruTfber, cocoa and coffee from them, We only jdesij-e the return of our colonies, taken away under false pretences.”
