O VER £6,000,000 TO BE SPENT Details’ were announced lately by the Commonwealth Minister of Railways and Works of the .programme of road .construction in Victoria, to be carried out under the Fedejal . aids roads scheme . with money subscribed by the Commonwealth and tlie Stale. The total expenditure will le £O,300,000. Of this £030,000 is to be spent, next year—£lsß,9oo on main roads, £5250 on trunk • roads, £428,748 011 arterial roads, and £37,102 for sinking fund. . The Commonwealth’s proportion of the £030,000 will be £300,000, and th© State' Government’s £270,000. /
