M.C.GVS CHRISTMAS GREETING (A ust. and N.Z. Cable). ■ ; London, Dec. 23. The M.C.C. has sent out .1000 Christmas cards, including many to Australia. They depict, w.ithin a rose and wattle border, a lion and a kangaroo supporting an urn containing ashes, with the lines:— “As Phoenix from the ashes rose, And lit a (torch tht age to guide, So fat upon our skill bestows \ greeting at this Christmustide”
