ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
.AND CHARGE OF ASSAULT. (Per Press Association) Auckland, Jan. 5. Daniel McCurdie, 06, was remand ed on n charge of attempted suicide and ol assaulting Lawrence Crawford. The police asked for a remand for medical observation. Shortly 'after a constable interviewed McCordie last night, concerning the alleged assault, MeCurdie asked for a knife to cut off his head. When be could not get ft knife he took a saucepan and struck himself a violent blow on the head..
