FEILDING AMATEURS SUCCEED Tim party of Feilding amateurs who went through to Wanganui last night to compete at. the electric light athletic sports meeting in Cook’s Gardens put up a good performance, individual members annexing three of the six everjts in which they were nominated. 1
In the third heat and final of tint 100 yards handicap J. Rosoman, the popular secretary of the local Amateur Club, with a handicap of 8J yards, gav 0 the rest of the field no show. JTo reached the tapes first, taking 9 4-osecs.
The 220 yards handicap w r as a difficult race for the local runners, J. Rosoman (18 yards), coming third, F. 71 ray (15) second and T. Kelly (14) third in the first, second and fourth heats respectively. ;T. Kelly (20yds) annexed thd 440 yards handicap in fine style. Time, 01secs.
Tlic party made up a team for the 880 yards relay, F'eilding gaining first Wanganui A second and Wanganui R third. Time, 1.51
