EX-SCHOOL CHAMPION OF ENGLAND. There was a tragic -finish ;to the Northern Counties amateur boxing championship at Hull one night recently when a young boxer received a knock-out blow from which he <Jiejd.' HeA\;as George Hart, a 17-year-okl Hull boy.. He was the English schoolboy champion in 1922-23, and bis opponent,' Thomas Wilson, ol Cardiff, was the ‘'world’s school hoy champion during the same period. , The. blow was struck in the fourth round. Wilson, in a breakaway, landed an upper-cut right on the point. , Hart fell heavily and his head struck the floor. He was carried unconscious from the ring, and while another bout was in progress, it was announced that despite medical assistance, he had died. The proceedings were stopped immediately and the audience left the hall with bared heads.
