GOOD 'PRICES MAINTAINED (Aust. and N.Z. Cable). Sydney, Jan. 4. The wool sales reopened. Prices, were firm for all descriptions at closing rates of the old year. There was good' general competition, chiefly from "Japan, Germany and Yorkshire. Comebacks crossbreds ruled slightly in sellers’ favour. Greasy crossbreds ■’ touched 27d. ...... ■,—— .-
