The diocese of Waiapu recently arranged with the , Church Army for the services of an evangelist, and Captain Ball was sent out. He is doing good work in the various railway camps on the. East Coast, and at Waikaremoana, holding regular services. "I have talked over with the Bishops the unfortunate fact that the week-end of the Bishop of London’s visited exactly clashes with that of the Royal visit. The Archbishop has kindly promised to bring it to bis notice, bub it is doubtful if. the plan call be'altered now,” states Bishop WestWatson in the Church News.'

She was born in Wellington in 1860, and her parents, Air and Mrs Edwin Bannister, originally came from Staffordshire, England. She died last night at' the home of her daughter, Airs J.
