There were present- some 25 old and' now members ol the Club, and the business of the evening was conducted with enthusiasm, 'l'lie annual report and’ balance sheet (already published in the Star) were read and adopted'. In speaking to the report, the chairman made some caustic comments'' on the unsportsnianslike action. of the fourth grade team withdrawling from thelu competition. Certain players had been. the. cause of dissention in the team and he severely cruised their action in attempting to dictate to the Rugby Union. .
The following officers were' elected for the ensuing season: .President, Mr T. Collins; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Bailey, H. J. Bailey, C. Bartholomew, J. Bartholomew, W. Brown, J. Dnrragh, L. A. Elliott, E. Hassell, 1C Hicks, T. ’Pagan, W. Quayle, 0. AY. Reid, G-. Bundle and J. Stalker; secretary and treasurer, Mr V. Lawrence ; auditor, .Air A. R. Aliers; committee, .Messrs AT.-Bailey, W ■ Rramwell, B. Dewe, X. -Jones, M. Lmm’e, T. Pawson, T. Pagan, J. Ryan and I). jSpenee. Temporary selection committee, Messrs Y\ • Rramwell, AI. Bailey and J. 'Ryan (senior), P. Holman (junior) , Lange, third's),' and J. Simpson (fourths). The following delegates were elected to represent the Club at. the annual meeting of the Alnnawatu (Rugby Union on Tuesday night next: Messrs AY- Rramwell T. Collins, A. R. Aiders, T. Ragan and J. Ryan. Air Nat Jones was unanimously re-elected Club captain and Ajr J. Ryan Club corcb. It was resolved, as a recommendation to tlm Rugby Union delegates, that, the Alanawatu selection committee comprise, three members, preferably one each from Palmerston, Ayoodvijle and' Feilding. Further, that tlie fixture committee for the 7-aside draw also comprise three members, one- each from the centres mentioned.
The awarding of the Sands’ medals to the most improved player in the third' and fourth grade teams at tlie end of file season was left to the in-
coming committee, with. a recommendation from the Club that the appointments bo made by the players of the respective teams. It was decided that the subscriptions for the season be the same as in the past.
Regarding practices. Tuesday and Thursday night were fixed' for this purpose . The Club lias in view a proposal for. the holding of a carnival or bazaar jo raise sufficient funds for the- purpose of renting a suitable, ball or building and equiping it for training. A committee, comprising Messrs Bailey, Rramwell, Collins, Lawrence and Alters, was appointed to 1 fully consider what arrangements could be modes in this matter.
Tlie Club hopes to pay the Hui Alai ( Ala naira ii ) Club a return visit before Raster and later engage Apiti in a friend I v match.
A vote of deep sympathy was passed to Mr and Airs J. Stalker in their recent sad bereaevement. Reference was made by the chairman to the great interest taken by Mr Stalker in the affairs of the Feilding Club. The meeting concluded with a vote thanks to the retiring secretary, Air T. Pagan.
