The controversy amongst the members of the Liberal Party over Mr Lloyd George’s land proposals has reached an acute stage. Sir Alfred Moiiti,. addressing the Caermarthen. Liberal Association, attacked many of the details of the scheme, and declared that, lie intended to protest most- earnestly against any attempt to make support of the land scheme a test of Liberal loyalty.Personally, he could not accept such a position nor any land policy in. which the freehold tenure is absolutely e safeguarded and a minimum of State interference provided for.
