THE RAILWAYS.

FEILDING- ARRIVALS AND DE-

PARTFRES

The Christmas and New Year excursions ceased on Saturday last, and the ordinary railway time-table, which obtained prior to the holidays, will be resumed as from to-morrow. The time-table of the ordinary express service between Auckland and Wellington and vice versa, which was extensively revised in November last and augmented during the Christmas and New Year seasons should be particularly noticed by local business men. The visual Auekland-Welling-ton express leaves Feilding in the morning at 8.b6 o’clock, and the Welington-Auekand express in the afternoon at 5.32 p.m. Previously, the times of departures were 9.4 b ri.m. and 4.20 p.m. respectively.

The local service between Wanganui and Palmerston and vice versa, may he looked upon, as an interesting one, especially as the revised timetable suits local transit requirements most favourably. The time-table between these two centres, with the time of departure of trains from Feilding, is as follows: — Palmerston to Wanganui. 7.19 a.in., 1.40 p.m., 4.b0 p.m. Wanganui to Palmerston.—9.2B a.in., 2.55 p.m. 7.23 p.m. ’Phe New Plymouth expresses, between that centre and AVellington, leave Feilding at 1.23 p.m. (going north) and 2.4 b p.m. (going south).
