Mr M. .J. O’Connor, headmaster of Waihi School, who has been appointed headmaster of the Pahint.ua. District High School, has had 21 years’ teaching service in the Auckland district.
Ur. Uesmond Erengley, of Wellington, who obtained his medical degree recently, is the third mein her of the family of Ur. J. P. and Airs Frengley, of Knrori, to commence auniversity course at Victoria College and finish at Otago University.
At last week’s meeting of the Presbytery in Dunedin, the Rev. Ur. E. AI. Alorrington. ol First Church, asked that his assistant, the Rev A. C. Watson, AT.A. (youngest son of. Air and Airs Thos Watson, of Feilding), who has been appointed licentiate for a year dating from January, should lie granted .powers under the Alarriage Act, add also that he h e appointed an associate member, of Presbytery. After some discussion on precedent, it was decided to recommend AT,- AVatson’s registration under the Act, the second request referred to the. Ecclesiastical Committee.
