SYRIANS SITUATION.
OBSTACLES IN THE ,WAY. (Aust. and N.Z. Cable;. (Received iDec. 29, 2 p.m.) Damascus, Dec. 28. The delegation of nobles who were recently received at Beirut by M. De Jouveiiel, the French Commissioner, is dissatisfied Witli the progress of negotiations. Apparently it is so far impossible, ,to reach accord in regard to Syria , making over the territory annexed by Lebanon in 1920 and the' amnesty to the rebel leaders. Tlie Druse delegation, lieadd by Emir Enimarslan, which recently visited Sueida to- discuss tlie question of pence apparently failed in its mission.
