Dr. Blazer i s the aged father of a paralysed ' daughter whom he killed to reieve her of her sufferings. His defence was that he murdered her for mercy,” and—pis he was grooving old -—in order not to leave her as a. burden to others. ( The girl, it wa s stated, could not use her arms or legs, she was speechless and without mental processes, and therefore a “mere human husk.”
