TANGIMOANA
A POPULAR RESORT. (From a- Correspondent). Tangimoana was well patronised throughout the holidays. This growing seaside resort is getting better known each year. On Sunday next the Feilding Brass Band proposes playing here and during the performance* a collection is to be taken in aid of the band’s funds Christmas Day found quite a let of people here, but. Boxing Day surpassed all previous years, there being close on 3000 people and between 500 and GOO cars on the domain and parked on the roads. Quite a lot of holiday-makers preferred the sea beach, hut the majority attended the sports held by the Tapgimoana Sports Club which took place on the Recreation' ground, where a running track has been formed by some of the energetic residents during the winter months. The winning competitors were well satisfied with their prizes, and . the meeting was a huge success. There were races fo r the toddlers and also for the married folk. The children turned out in full force when; the lollie scramble commenced'. A, butcher, baker and milkman attend to the wants' of the residents, milk being delivered cv e r v morning and evening. Tangimoana now, possesses a post office, with a. daily 'mail service, ami alter the holidays a mtmbe r of people who have ho, intend having a telephone party fine erected, and will be in direct coipmunication with ltongotea. ; :, ;j; ' A meeting of ihe residents will be held on Jan. 1 hi .'the afternoon to elect a committee Jo carry on for the New Tear and .discuss plans for the beautifying of .
