A CIIRIFTMAS tragedy (Anst. and N.Z. Cable). (Received December 28, V! n.m.) London, December 27. A Christmas tragedy occurred at Trowbridge, where Edward Richards was found shot in his own garden. He made a statement to the police, who on Christmas Day arrested Bornbadier John Lincoln at a bouse where a party wa s in progress. Lincoln said : “Do nof break up the party. T will come quietly.” Anothej. man was also arrested, Bombadier lan Maxwell. A theory is that Richards, who intended joining his wife and child' at Swindon on tile iollowing day, found the two men leaving his house. A scuffle followed, with the result a s stated.
