Colonel Parker, Governor of the Sinai Peninsula and a nephew of the late Lord Kitchener, is now visiting Oamaru, where; lie has relatives.

Mr J. T. Williams, postmaster at Master ton, who is retiring on superannuation- at the end of this month, was stationed in 1921 as postmaster at Feilding..

Rev. H. J. Ryburn, of ’ Christchurch, a’ Rhodes Scholar, recently returned to New Zealand after completing several years’ study at Oxford,' England, • and the Union’Theological Assembly, New York.

Prior to his departure from Napier fo r Feilding, where lie has been transferred, Constable Elstone was met hy his fellow constables and superior officers and presented with a travelling kit bag and a pocket wallet.

Mr H. Grinsford has received notification of his appointment to the field service of the New Zealand Alliance. His sphere of operations will cover the North Island, hut he will still reside in Palmerston.
