For the holidays Pei Id i ups and district, like many other parts ’of the Dominion, had ideal weather 'for outings. Christmas Day’s meteorological conditions were simply perfect, for* Boxing Day the I heat Was Vein pored} by ‘a .'breeze, and there was a similar experience yesterday. The season passed withou t The record of airy mishaps in Feilding and district, and the chapter of accidents recorded for the whole of the two islands were not nearly as serious as is usual and sometimes sensationally reported in previous Christmastides. There is every reason to believe, indeed, that New Zealanders generally had all that-the good wishes expressed—a very merry and happy l Christmas.
