A broach of the Machinery Act was all reed against Nelson’s Fid., in the Magistrate's Court, the charge being that the company had disposed ol certain machinery without giving notice to an inspector. The iaets stated were that Nelson’s, Ltd, shipped machinery from their Gisborne works to Fletcher’s Ltd, Auckland. Roth firms were under the same management. The Department required notice of the shipping of machinery. ,Fur the. defence it was stated that the defendants. had not thought the notice necessary, as they were meiel\ transferring the machinery, and not selling it. Vestev’s were Nelson’s Ltd and Vestdy’s were Fletcher’s a I though separately incorporated. The Magistrate imposed a fine of 20s. :
