EVANGELISTIC MISSION
Speaking last night from the text, “This ■ Jesus hath Cod raised up, whereof we all are witnesses,” the missibnor at the Baptist Church said that a true witness was one who knew, and who was prepared to give evidence in spite of all that might he said to the contrary. He referred to men like Augustine and others, who by reason of the great change that had been wrought in them, knew' ol the truth and power of the gospel. The preacher then spake of men in Dunedin and Auckland who had come under his own notice. Some of these had been very ignorant before their conversion, and some very much sunk in sin, but through the great change in thei r lives they became witnesses to the saving power of Christ. The missioned urged all to seek experimental knowledge of Christ. Mr Shepherd sang a solo. There will he another meeting to-night.
