KOWHAI PARK LODGE

Kowhai Lodge mot last night in the Oddlellows’ Hall. Sister Eidlcr, N.G.. presiding. A motion of sympathy wms passed to Sisters Taylor and Laing in the loss of their mother, Mrs Laing, of Colyton. Three names were nominated for membership. A letter of appreciation and thanks was received from the newly formed Rebokali Lodge at Tnihapc for the help so enthusiastically given hy Kowhai Lodge on the opening night, wlien 66 candidates (surely a record!) wore initiated into the Order.

It was resolved to hold progressive euchre and dance parties through the white,- on Saturday evenings, the objective being to raise funds for the laying down of a croquet lawn at the Oddfellows’ Hall. A strong committee was formed.
