JUDGE ALBERS AT NAPIER (Per Press Association.) Napier, Feb. 25. ' Mr Justice Alpers’at the Supreme Court, sentenced John Robertson, a lad who pleaded guilty to arson and manslaughter to .10 years, reformative detention on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. The accused is at present serving a sentence in the Borstal Institute for arson and theft. Donald Stewart, another youth, for attempted murder at Pri.rau.iha, by placing .caustic soda in medicine, was sentenced to seven years’ detention, and six months each for horse stealing (five charges), all the sentences to be concurrent. George Clarence Wilson, for forging and uttering, was sentenced to 12 months’ hard labour and for false pretences (two charges) six months on each. FIVE YEARS EOT? MATNTNC ANIMALS Auckland, Feb. 25. At the Supreme Court, John Lawrence .Cosgraye, on lour charges of mischief (maiming animals) was -sentenced to five years’ reformative ■treatment. Henry Tekana, a Maori youth, for theft at- Dargaville, was sentenced to two years at the Borstal Institute.
