The special correspondent of the Times in Rental declares that grave peril threatens Bengal, and perhaps all of India, in the shape of a revolutionary movement, and he supplies details of a terrorist campaign, including assassinations. Firearms are more easily obtained now than fromerly' from Germany and Russia, through smugglers. Recruit by revolutionary organisations is proceeding apace .and plenty of funds are availble.
The polire verified a vast amount of the information.proving .the existence of a revolutionary conspiracy. The repeal of the laws empowering the police to deal with subversive literature has rendered them powerless to check its distribution. The situation is ominous, and the time is ripe for drastic steps) to check this most serious menace.
