Mr TL E. Comb.?: will he the guest of Mr A. Lovejn. during the week end. Two students of the Feilding Agricultural High School, J. Wink and A. Hutchison, leave Feilding this week to take up positions in the l.’iihlie Service at Wellington. The Wanganui Education Board decided to place on record its appreciation,of the services of Mr Joblin, Taihape, while a member of the Hoard. Mr Hugh Mclntyre said that Mr Joblin’often had to travel Jong distances over rough roads and remain away from, home overnight (to investigate matters, for the Board, and never on one occasion had he refused to give big services.
The Star of the Order of the Waif Society, awarded to Miss N. C. Walton, by the Directors of the. Barnardo Homes, lias been forwarded to Feilding, and is now in Miss Walton’s possession. The medal is of silver, surmounted with a coronet and suspended on a black and white ribbon. In the centre is a blue circlet with the letters “Y.H.L.” in silver. It icj a baud some medal, and we congratulate Miss Walton, wlio certainly deserved the honour.
