.WELLINGTON STOCK EX-. CHANGE. YESTERDAYS BUSINESS AND, PRICES At the morning call yesterday a sale of Union Panic shares at £l4 9s was made on 'Change, and at the afternoon call a eale of 4 J per cent. stock (1038) at £96 15s was reported. There was a good demand for the 4| per cents, at £96 10s, and the 5-J per cents (1933) at £IOO 10. s. Devonport Borough 6 per cent, debentures were firm at £lO2. Bank shares wera quiet, the only demand l>eing for Bank of Australasia at £l3 3s, cum dividend. There were sellers of National Bank shares at £6 16s od, Bank of New Zealand at £2 12s. 6c], and Union iTank at £l4 10s. There vrove buyers of Goldsborough Mort. and Co.'s shares at £2 lis Gd, New Zealand Insurance at 30s, and South British Insurance at 40s. Huddart Rarker ordinary shares were in demand at £2 2s, and Union Steam preference at 19s, 10d. There were buyers of Westport coal ishares at 38s, isaurl Timber at 28s lOd, Leyland O'Brien Timber at 40s. Rotoiti Timber at 23s 3d, Taringamutu Totjira at £1 13s, and National Timber at 22s Od. Crown Brewery shares were firm at 39s 6d, .and Ward and Co. brewery shares at £2 3s, Waihi Mining .shares were 'in demand 'at 30s.
