A STRANGE FATALITY
(Per Press Association^. Hawera, February 18. Frederick Spice, a stoker in the Hawera gasworks, was clinking a (ire on Saturday afternoon when n mass of hot clinkers fell into the water in the pit. Although badly scalded ho climbed out. His condition was not considered very serious at first, but he .succumbed at the hospital. He leaves a wife and daughter.
