MB WITTY AT RICCARTON
(Per Pru>a A.ssuciation.j Christchurch, Nov. 1-1. Mr G Wittv, in opening his campaign for Riecarton, said ho had represented tho electorate lor 20 years. Ho strongly critcised tho Labour Party, declaring he would rather vote for Mr Massey than with the "Beds. He quoted the Liberal record to show that Mr Massey had never repealed any of its legislation except the Second Ballot Act. Strikes were wrong and would cease if the heads of unions and secretaries had to receive strike pay. He criticised the immigration and housing polices, and condemned tho military system and the money spent on the* C&itham, advocating aeroplanes and torpedo boats. He favoured the nationalisation of the ferry service and its working as of the railway system.
MR AVILFORD TO-MORROW
Mr T. M. Wilford, Loader of the Opposition, is to speak in the Feilding Drill Hall to-morrow. He will reply to Premier Massey's latest speeches.
