ENTERTAINMENTS

"MAN. WOMAN, MARRIAGE." ■ ■ AT THE LYCEUM TO-NIGHT. With more than ordinary pleasure the management of the Lyceum Theatre announces the presentation of "Man—Woman—Marriage," the biggest motion picture of the year, in nine parts, to-night and to-morrow. It is a First National attraction, directed by Allen' Holubar, starring Dorothy Phillips. This "production has been aptly termed a mighty milestone in motion pictures. There could be no better name for a picturo that is at once a wonderful romance and drama of mother-right, told from a woman's heart, combined with vast spectacular moments wherein thousands of actors—as pagan dancers and barbaric beauties—participate. Orgies in 'the Courts of Caesar are contrasted with society life of to-day. The fights of the Amazons of old, who went plunging into battle with the men, are contrasted with the battle of our women against the shackles of man-mado marriage and man-made divorce. There is not a moment which does not carry heart-appeal, breath-taking thrill, tense drama, delightful humour, or inspiriting vastness. A Graphic is the only other picture. DOUBLE BILL AT EVERYBODY'S. Williau Russell, one of the prime favourites of motion picture lovers in this community, will bo seen to-night at the Oddfellows' Hall in "The Roof Tree," a picture that has not been surpassed in a long time for sheer entertainment value and Mr Russell, as the star, lives up to everything that his many admirers havo come to expect from him. The programme also includes ;a second 5part {feature, i"Cindcrella of tho Hills," a charming woodland mystery, with Barbara Bedford in the leading role. This also carries an interesting love story. There are a Gazette and cartoon.
