Dr Nansen, outlining to the Council of the League of Nations the scheme to evacuate 15,000 Russian refugees from Constantinople, said when the necessary funds were available he would discuss with the Australian and Canadian Governments the possibility of sending a great number of refugees to Austnralia and Canada.
