THE ALSACE COMPANY.
Says the Dannevirke- News: "Compact and accomplished" is a deserip-j tion that can fittingly be used to describe the show which appeared in I "classical vaudeville" at the Town Hall on Saturday evening to an audience, which, though not over large, was thoroughly appreciative. The success achieved ought to ensure for this talented company a much larger patronago to-night, as they are undoubtedly good and worth' while hearing. "Classical vaudeville," as presented on Saturday, contains nothing vulgar—no dancing, mo spectacular settings, nothing usually associated with vaudeville. It is a good wholesome enjoyable musical and elocutiontary offering by artists who have individualism and" talent. The Rev. Papakura, known as "the singing parson," was .billed as "the wonderful Maori tenor, ' and certanily upheld his reputation. Madame Bene To An was no less successful. She is the possessor of a robust soprano voice of remarkable quality and tone. The plans are at Barrett's.
