The death took place at .her residence, King street, yesterday, of Mrs Margaret Worsfold, at the age of 8b ■years. The late Mrs AVorsfold was born in Dublin and had emigrated to London when a"'girl of 15 years. It was there she met her husband. Mr and Mrs AVorsfold and the four sons came to New .Zealand in tlie ship Ocean Mail, and reached tlie Feilding settlement in February, 1874 Mr AVorsfold died 22 years a" 0 . The family were ultimately connected with the early movements for the development of Feuding, and one eon, Mr Robert Worsfold, was the first superintendent of the Church of England herb. Only a few,months aero he died as the result of a motor collision'in Palmerston. The surviving sons of the. old lady are Messrs Harry, George, and Edwin, all ol Feilding. Mr Stephen Freeman, who died at Napier, aged 91 years, was an old and respected resident of that tbs trict He was horn in London, and left England in 1855, arriving in Wellington and afterwards proceeding to Nanicr He has lived in Napier, except for short intervals, ever-since Manv years ago, whilst working tor Mr McCurdy on a Government railway contract, and blasting roc ”® Featherston, he met with an accident which deprived him of ; \vVr Freeman took.part in * he Maori W aland participated m the en K a Ge at Omarunui.
