ON THE EEILDING GREEN. FINISH OF THE CARNIVAL CONTEST. The College Carnival Bowling Competition was concluded on the Feildmg green on Saturday afternoon, when, despite the heavy condition due to the rain, some good play was witnessed. In the semi-finals, Taylor, Goodbehere, Haybittlc, Shrimpton (s.) were defeated by McElroy, Gibson, Hazell (sub. for Davidson), Bourke (s.). There was a keen contest between Moore, Gifford, Rev. Petrie, Spence (s.) and J. Dewe, Quayle, Williamson, Mills (s), the latter winning on an extra head. There was some excitement in the BourkeMills final and some good shots exchanged, but Bourke ran out a winner. President J. Bartholomew presented the trophies to the winners in complimentary terms on their play.
