THE OATS MARKET.

(Per Press Association). Christchurch, Nov. 19. The export of oats continues steadily, several substantial consignments being loaded during the past week or so and a conservative estimate puts the quantity at 100,000 sacks during the freight'reduction. There seemed to be a probability of the expoft making considerable reduction in stocks, but tho report that South Australian oats are being quoted at Is 9d per bushel introduces a despondent note. Obviously if the new season's .its are worth no more than that in Australia, the home market for New Zealand oats must recede. The market here is very weak, and it is probable that farmers would not now get 3s.
