The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report: — At our Himatangi sale on Monday we had an average yarding, and & good sale resulted: Shorn hoggets 17s lid, 18s, to 23s 6d, forward cows £8 7s 6d to £8 10s, empty cows £7, empty heifers £6 5s to £8 Is, yearling steers £3 10s, 2-year steers £0 6s, bulls £7 7s to £17 10s. At our Rongotea sale on Wednesday, we had a heaA y yarding of cattle, aud an average entry of sheep. There was a large attendance, and although bidding was dull, we practically cleared the yard at vendors' reserves: Shorn small hoggets 15s, woolly hoggets 24s to 27s 6d, fair for-, ward* cows £8, £8 10s, £9, £9 ss, to £9 lis, fat cows £10, £10 10s,, to £12 17s 6d, fat steers £16 2s 6d, store cows £4 10s to £7 15s, cull cows £2 to £4, dairy cows (good) to £19 10s, do (medium) £8 to £12 15s, springing heifers (good) £19 ss, do (ordinary) £10 to £16,, yearling empty heifers £5 7s to £7 2s Ocf, yearling heifers £2 17s Gd to £4 15s. bulls £15 10s.
