WHAT A SINN FEIN DOCUMENT
DISCLOSES
(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Aust.-N.Z. Cable Association.) (Renter.) (Received Nov. 19, 8.45 a.m.) London, Nov. 17.
Evidence in confirmation of the recent Ministerial statement in Parlia- I ment regarding the decided improvement in the situation in Ireland has been disclosed in a captured Sinn Fein army order urging the immediate construction of secret dugouts in ,the Tipperary area- for men on the run. The order further points, but that accommodation and hospitality hitherto freely given to these men by farmers and others is not now forthcoming, thus showing the increased efficiency of the police activities and the widespread withdrawal of sympathy from the operations of the Sinn Fein murder gang. ' Meanwhile, the Sinn Tern Courts havo practically disappeared, whilst the ordinary work of the High Court and tho County Courts are increasing. The local authorities who had boon refusing to submit their books to the Government auditor, are now reversing their decision, owing to the Government withholding grants. Tho hunger-strike weapon has failed, having now been discarded. For every barracks burned, the police may now commandeer the most suitable liouse in the district. Often such houses are owned and were occupied by leading Sinn Fciners.
