TJie Watersiders are taking a ballot on the question whether there alioukl ,bo a total cessation of the Avork of discharging and loading all oversea vessels, whether bound to or from the United Kingdom. It is stated that the ballot is to be taken throughout tho Commonwealth.. GOOD APPOINTMENT. Melbourne, October 30. Mr. Gullett, a Sydney journalist, and an Australian war correspondent in Gallipoli, France, and Palestine, has been appointed by the Comrnonwoalth Government as Director of Immigration in Australia, at a salary of £1500. THE AUSTRALIAN BISLEY. Sydney, October 30. Besides winning the £100 prize in the final stage of the King's Match, Face won an extra £100 for using the Mottio barrel. Of the New ZeaJanders, Masefield got into the 20th place with 314, and Hoots and Weet each 318, all winning £4.
