SUGAR HELD-UP AGAIN. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, October 29. Work at the sugar refinery at Chelsea is suspended owing to coal shortage, caused, it is stated, by the Government diverting 21,000 tons destined for Auckland.
LAND AT £800 PER FOOT,
Auckland, October 29. Smeeton's Buildings, with 90 feet frontage to Queen street, a fourstorey brick structure, has been bought by Winston's Ltd. for £100,----000. The price for the land above mentioned represents nearly £800 per foot.
