WEDDING.

McKENZLti—COA .NELLY. . A very pretty and interesting wedding was celebrated on April JjcStb. in St. j/aui's Presbyterian Church, Feilding, the contracting parties being Eva Theodora, tifth daughter of Mrs A. Connelly, Carnarvon, and Glen Rae, youngest son of the late Thomas and Mrs McKenzie, of "Clydesdale," Carnarvon. The bride entered the church on the ■■aim of her uncle, Mr Fred Wright, and Mrs James presided at the organ, playing "The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden" as the bride walked xxn the aisle. The bride's dress was crepe de chine with charmeuse silk and silver trimming and -a train of charmeuse silk with pale blue silk lining. She "was attended' by her sister, JEtuth, who wore green crepe de chine and coffee coloured Dutch cap, and Miss Bruce Deroles, cousin of the bridegroom, who wore 'apricot creue de chine witii -cotfee coloured Dutch cap. Miss Joyce Hastie, niece of the bridegroom, acted as trainbearar, wearing I heliotrope- silk messaline and moo 'cap. Misses Birdie Wheeler and Mα isie league, nieces of the bride, acted as flower girls, wearing champagne •and pink messaliae frocks, with wreaths of Michaelmas- daisies round their heads. Tho duties of the best man and groomsman were ably carried out by Messrs Stanley Lumsden, of Feilding, and Leslie Boss, of Bongotea, both cousins of the bridegroom, the former having a very period with the N.Z.E.F. The officiating minister was'the Key. J. A. McKenzie of Petone, uncle of the bridegroom, who also had a lengthy period of service as a chaplain to the forces. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a, black fox fur necklet and the bridesmaids gold chains and pendants, whilst the flower girls were given lucky black cats on silver chains, and the train-bearer a gold brooch set with turquoise.- After the ceremony the gueste adjourned to Whitehead s. where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of and the usual toasts and speeches were made, all tneguests uniting in giving the happy couple a right royal time, thereby showing the popularity of each, a,nd wishing them <all the best of good ; luck on their new venture. The wedding cake was tastefully made and presented by Mrs N. Bariron, FeiMing, sister of the bridegroom. ■ ~,1 ' The presents were numerous and ■costly and included many cheques. . After the breakfast the happy couple left by motor for Wellington, en route to the South Island on an extended honeymoon, oarryrng with them showers of confetti and good -Wishes to speed them on their way.
