HOROWHENUA AND RANGITIKEI DRAW. (Per Press Association.) Marton, June 12. The representative match, Horowhenua v. Rangitikei, was fast and exciting. In the first spell there were no scores, when the honours rested with Rangitikei, who missed several opportunities. The brilliant passing of Rangitikei enabled Payne to score the only try of the match, but his kick failed. Horowhenua ; rallied and was aSvarded a free kick ; and. McDonald was successful, making the scores even. Jacobs, Horowhenua's most prominent player, saved his team several times.. The North Island selector, Mr G. Nicholson, and the Wanganui selectors witnessed the game.
