SALE OF DAIRY LAND.
THE SAUNDEiIS GLEN OROUA PROPERTY. I Yesterday Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. ottered at auction the Glen j Oroua property of Mr E. R. Saun-' ; ders. A total of 1100 acres, sub- • divided into 26 dairy farms, was ofj fered to a very large assemblage at • the Drill Hall. Every section was I sold, and bidding was brisk, though the prices realised were not quite up to the average of recent sales in j Feilding. It was evident that the i unsettled state of things generally in I the Old Country and also in NewZea- • land is beginning to have an effect on the price of land. The highest ■ price for the day was given for the [homestead block of 68 acres, the pur.chaser being Mr W. Mills, of Pipton. IMr Mills also purchased an adjoining block of 34 acres at £152. The lowest price was £73 per acre, for 39 acres, bought by Mr Wagstaff, of Pohangina. With an average of £102 ■4s per acre, the total realised for the property was £110,000, .-}'. ■ Following are The" details :— Lot 1, 30 acres, £100, H. T. James, Dannevirke. Lot 2, 59 acres, £100, H.
